Bamboo X-treme and N-durance both reach the highest EU durability class, so the boards stay strong without treatment. Sun and weather do change the colour over time. Oiling keeps the original tone; if you like a silver-grey look, you can leave the deck untreated.
In Curaçao’s strong sun, once or twice a year is a good guide. Oil when the colour starts to fade or when water no longer beads on the surface. We advise you per project, depending on sun exposure and use.
Woca Exterior Wood Oil in Teak, which is also what Moso advises. One litre covers roughly 15 m², so a 25 m² deck needs less than two litres per coat.
Sweep regularly and scrub with a silicon carbide broom, which also lifts loose fibres. For dirt or a green film, Woca Exterior Wood Cleaner removes it without damaging the surface. Let the deck dry fully before oiling.
Shaded and damp areas can develop a green film. Clean them with the wood cleaner and a brush, and rinse pool or sea water off with fresh water now and then.
Yes. Cut ends are sealed with an end-grain sealer so they absorb less moisture. We seal the cut ends during installation.
No. Both are cared for the same way: clean, then oil. X-treme is a deep brown and N-durance a warm caramel; oiling keeps either colour fresh.
